Yes Vladimir Putin is not ‘Tsar’
Before the collapse of the USSR Mr.Putin was working for KGB and he was handling the important assignment in East Germany before the fall of the Berlin wall. This was the last leg of the USSR and quickly the end of it also came but Russia was not able to withstand the changes both politically and economically. People of Russia was initially happy that the rain of socialism has stopped and new rainbow capitalism has come for their rescue but it was short lived because the new president Mr. Boris Yeltsin was not able to withstand the process of transformation and people was getting angry with the new government. Also the trust in the new Russian federation was lagging and the expectation of the new alternative was falling this was time in which Mr.Putin took over the power and the first few steps cemented his power. Mr.Putin was able to cement his power with the use of his oligarchy and the old loyalist.
Coming back to the "Tsar" controversy , yes Mr.Putin has said it right he is not a Tsarist but he is a Stalinist. We have to understand that Mr. Putin lived in communist Russia which was the greatest super power in the world and he knew that this was possible only because of Mr.Stalin and his approach towards power. Mr.Stalin's time was an inspiration for most of them in Russia that is not because of the ideology but they believed that he took the country to the next level at the time of distress(world war 2). Mr.Stalin's time is both a gray and green for the people of Russia, to make things clear Stalin can be called the Hitler of Russia , this because of the human rights violations and exterminating the political enemies .
This is the strategy Mr.Putin believing and implementing in the country.This could been seen in his way of eliminating the political enemies and having a iron grip over the power. Mr.Trump says "lets make America great again" but it is just a election gamble but Mr,Putin is on the verge of making Russia great again in the path of Stalinism.
